Dr. Michele Pendrak received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University in Elkins Park, PA in 2008. On her clinical rotations, Dr. Pendrak received the highest clinical honors in hospital and disease management at the Wilkes-Barre Veteran’s Administration Hospital. She began her career focusing on pediatrics, at which time she developed vision therapy programs for practicing optometry and ophthalmology offices. She later shifted her career focus when she joined her current practice, Siepser Eyecare, to ocular surface disease (OSD) management. She led the practice in developingtheir Dry Eye Center of Excellence, where she is currently the medical director. In addition, she continues to practice full scope optometry while also co-managing a variety of complex anterior segment surgical procedures. On the industry side, Dr. Pendrak serves as a Key Opinion Leader for Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals, for whom she piloted and still speaks for their peer-to-peer doctor education program. She assisted Medical Opometry America in writing their best practices. Additionally, she was on the advisory board for Novabay Pharmaceuticals, developed an eyelid butter for demodex blepharitis with Extract and Box LLC, has been a guest author for Luxe Beauty,and is a current speaker for Dompé as well as Tarsus.
